Joy-Marie Strawbridge is a Lakeland native who graduated from Florida Southern College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities with a focus on Literature and Art History. She teaches Geneva’s ancient literature courses in the Dialectic School.  In the past, she has also served Geneva by teaching Bible Survey, Rhetoric Government/Economics and Photojournalism.  

Joy-Marie is an avid Flannery O’Connor fan and was a guest speaker at Florida Southern College’s 2011 Speaking of English Program, where she presented her Senior Thesis on O’Connor’s work. 

Joy-Marie and her husband Michael married in 2008 and live in Lakeland with their two daughters. They are members of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
