Our generous scholarship program from the George W. Jenkins Fund within the GiveWell Community Foundation comes to an end this school year, and the Geneva Board of Directors has authorized the Headmaster to explore a new scholarship opportunity for future school years:  Step Up for Students, Florida Tax Credit scholarships. 

This is a privately funded need-based program, NOT TAX FUNDED.  Corporations give to this private fund with the benefit to them being tax incentives.  Just as the video explains, Geneva has always strived and will continue to avoid government entanglement that would interfere with our independence and ability to deliver our quality academic liberal arts program.  We will maintain our same admission and academic standards, and nothing will change in these areas based upon whether we do or don’t receive tuition money from this or any outside source.  The Board and Administration are at ease moving forward to making this available to eligible Geneva families because it is privately funded and managed, and it does not change our standards.

Linda Morrison will coordinate this project, like she did the ACCS accreditation.  Hopefully, the process will happen within a matter of weeks, and we can provide information soon for how Geneva families can apply.
