Welcome to the 2015-16 Academic Year!

Welcome new families and returning families,

This year marks Geneva’s 20th anniversary!  Our enrollment has grown to 134 students this year; the largest we’ve been since the recession of 2008.  We are looking forward to continued growth.

We are zeroing in on ACCS accreditation.  As candidates for accrediting, we have completed our self study, and a visitation team is coming at the end of September to review us, interview parents, students, teachers, and board members, and communicate any changes we must make for final approval.  This will be an important three days in the life of our school!

Geneva’s Upper School is planning a series of panel discussions for our Curia which we will record as podcasts. Each event will explore, in in-depth conversation, important issues for the school and what our classical and Christian perspectives mean in the day to day of our lives.  The panelists will be guest experts in these areas. The potential topics include: Christian education, the Reformation, Christians and culture, great books, worship, and science v. faith.  Parents are welcome to join us to listen in on the conversation live or obtain the podcasts and learn more about these issues.

This year marks the Second Annual Geneva Gala at the Lakeland Yacht Club with author, speaker, and professor Nancy Pearcey coming to speak and the 18th annual BuckFin in Alturas at Dana Camp House.

The best news of all, in my humble opinion, is that this year we have the largest graduating class yet; a class of 9!  They have already begun working on their Senior Theses, are planning their spring break trip to Europe, and are making their preparations for college.

The Administration, the Faculty , and the Board are thrilled to be a part of your lives as we train up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Happy anniversary, Geneva!
